The player window controls got stuck sometimes and did not fade out, and the progress indicator (a distractingly large bright blue) didn't always line up with the length of the file playback. The app played back every weird file format I could throw at it. If the file is playing then the check mark is redundant. Maybe it means the file can be decoded or something. AirPlay is built right into the player window controls which is very cool, but the green check mark icon in the controls is inscrutable. The video quality and default zoom settings are awesome though. The app could use a loop function, range selection, and keyboard control over window size. Please be open about what is going on here. And, since the app quits when the window is closed, this is basically at every movie file start. As Trance points out, it does phone home at every launch.
